Battlefield V Launch
Rotterdam is featured prominently in Battlefield V. When MediaMarkt wanted to do a VIP launch activation there wasn’t a more perfect location than their HQ on the 37th story of the ‘de Rotterdam’. Looking out on the old harbour and the White House which are both featured in the game.

Over 160 influencers, celebs, media and retailers were invited to be the first to play Battlefield V on the epic location.  Host Simon Zijlemans and a group of World War 2 reenactors welcomed guests like de Bankzitters, Danny Froger, Frequenzers, Gamekings and Bas van Teylingen. Battlefield V was played in all its glory on XBOX One X or high-end Coolermaster gaming PC’s.

Earned attention
Additionally, we invited NOS to play the game together with an actual historian specialised in The Netherlands during the war. This resulted not only in coverage by NOS but got picked up by other large outlets as well. ‘Stichting herdenking 4 mei’, the official war memorial foundation, is considering using Battlefield V in their educational programs.

Results
Lots of earned attention via traditional free publicity (from NOS to AD and NU.nl tot ) and via influencer output.
