Gemeente Arnhem – Provinciale verkiezingen

Every 4 years in the Netherlands, we vote for the Provincial Council elections. In 2023 the political climate is far from the optimal. The gap between politics and citizens is bigger as ever. The turnout of other elections were especially low with young people. Reason enough for the mayor of Arnhem to start a campaign to increase the attendance of the elections in his city. Vertigo 6 created a creative campaign with well known citizens from Arnhem as ‘hulpburgemeesters’ to help the mayor narrowing the gap between politicians and citizens.

With over 583k impressions on Facebook/Instagram and over 24 media publications from local and national news outlets, the campaign was a great success. The election had the highest turnout for Provincial Council elections since 1987!
